Content creator Peller and Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage have drawn attention following a report that Peller sent the singer TikTok virtual gifts reportedly valued at $3,000 during a livestream.

The reported gesture has sparked conversations about celebrity friendships, online gifting and the growing role of livestreams in Nigerian entertainment.

TikTok gifts are virtual items purchased with platform coins. Their real-world value can depend on the platform's pricing and conversion arrangements, so the reported dollar figure should be checked against the original livestream or a reliable account of the transaction.

Some social-media users may see the gesture as generosity, while others may view it as part of the entertainment and engagement culture surrounding livestreams.

Whatever the motivation, celebrity livestreams continue to create moments that quickly become talking points online.
