Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has joined forces with rising street-pop act Tml Vibez on a new single titled “Sisi”, bringing together two artists with different musical strengths on one Afrobeats record.
Released on October 30, 2026, the collaboration arrives as part of this week's new music releases and has attracted attention following an earlier preview at Zlatan's wedding celebration.
The song combines Reekado Banks' familiar melodic approach with Tml Vibez's contemporary street-pop influence, creating a collaboration aimed at Afrobeats listeners.
HOW THE COLLABORATION CAME TO ATTENTION
Before its official release, “Sisi” reportedly received an early preview during the celebration of Nigerian rapper Zlatan's wedding.
The appearance generated interest among music fans, with listeners anticipating the full release.
Its eventual arrival on streaming platforms has now given audiences the opportunity to hear the collaboration in its complete form.
TWO DIFFERENT MUSICAL IDENTITIES
Reekado Banks became widely recognised through his melodic Afropop sound and hit records such as “Katapot”, “Easy (Jeje)” and “Rora”.
Tml Vibez represents a newer generation of Nigerian street-pop performers, bringing a contemporary sound shaped by catchy melodies and street-inspired influences.
Their partnership on “Sisi” brings these musical approaches together, giving the record a blend of established Afropop appeal and newer street-pop energy.
ANOTHER RELEASE IN A BUSY AFROBEATS WEEK
The release comes during a busy period for Nigerian music, with artists including Phyno, Tiwa Savage, Omah Lay, Mayorkun and Peruzzi also attracting attention with new projects and singles.
Collaborations between established performers and emerging voices continue to play an important role in the development of the Nigerian music scene.
For Tml Vibez, working with an established name such as Reekado Banks offers another opportunity to reach a wider audience.
For Reekado Banks, the collaboration provides an opportunity to connect with listeners following the newer wave of street-pop music.
INSTACOOL VERDICT
“Sisi” brings together two generations of Nigerian music in a collaboration worth checking out.
The pairing of Reekado Banks' melodic style and Tml Vibez's street-pop influence gives the record an interesting identity.
The bigger question is whether the collaboration will translate its early attention into sustained streaming numbers and become a favourite among listeners.
