Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen marked a special week in his personal life by scoring for Galatasaray in their emphatic 4–0 away victory over Konyaspor in the Turkish Süper Lig on Friday, 30 October 2026.

The Super Eagles forward found the net just a day after he and his partner welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Liora Audrey.

Osimhen Delivers Despite the Emotional Occasion

Osimhen travelled to join his teammates in Konya ahead of the match and was included in Galatasaray's starting eleven.

The Nigerian striker needed just 12 minutes to make his mark. He rose to meet Gabriel Sara's free-kick and directed a powerful header into the net to give the visitors an early lead.

The goal added another memorable moment to an already significant week for the 27-year-old forward.

Galatasaray Dominate Konyaspor

Galatasaray continued their attacking performance after taking the lead.

Yunus Akgün doubled the advantage in the 28th minute with a powerful effort from outside the penalty area.

Aleksey Batrakov made it 3–0 in the 49th minute before Rafael Leão converted a penalty in the 55th minute to complete the scoring.

Osimhen was substituted in the 60th minute after helping his side establish a commanding advantage.

Osimhen's Scoring Form Continues

The goal against Konyaspor took Osimhen's league tally to nine goals, according to match reports, strengthening his position among the competition's leading scorers.

He had also scored twice in Galatasaray's 2–1 Istanbul derby victory over Fenerbahçe earlier in the week.

Galatasaray's 4–0 victory further strengthened their position in the Turkish league title race, with the defending champions continuing their impressive campaign.

For Nigerian football supporters, Osimhen's latest performance is another reminder of the striker's importance to both club and country.
